BEST BURGER IN BANGKOK
This was written by the owner of Stickman weekly on March 14, 2010. Stickman Weekly is a weekly column covering all of interest to Westerners resident in Thailand, particularly Bangkok, as well as frequent visitors to the country.
"I had the best cheeseburger in Bangkok this week, twice. On Tuesday lunch was at O'Reilly's where I had the superb cheeseburger which was good as any burger I had had in Bangkok, and for a short period I reckoned it to be the best
burger in the city until...the next day when I had lunch at Duke's in the new food hall on the 5th floor at
Emporium. WOW! The venue looks modest but the food is exceptional. This is some of the best
honest, pub-style farang food in the city with fantastic dishes for not a lot of money.
The Duke's burger, is in my mind, the best burger in Bangkok. Bacon, mushrooms and cheese on a 1/2 pound sirloin patty
and a mound of fries (or onion rings, or coleslaw) makes a filling meal. What I liked about Duke's was that the portions
were large, the quality excellent and the prices reasonable - that's all the bases covered. Duke's is an institution in
Chiang Mai and its arrival in Bangkok is very welcome indeed. I'll be visiting again real soon.
In fact I can see myself becoming a regular."

American favorites at Duke’s
Duke's Pizza users imported tomatoes and mozzarella cheese baked on a freshly homemade pizza base. Many people get a "Wow" factor when eating it. This is why we do what we do, when you say “Wow” and smile it’s priceless! The other top dishes you may scream "Wow" to is when you eat the Greek salad, the Chicago style gourmet ribs or the pastrami reuben sandwich.
All this and much more American favorites at Duke’s.
The Duke”s in Bangkok is located at the Emporium on Sukhumvit Rd Soi 24. It's Easy to get there by skytrain (Phrom Phong (E5) or by car ( Large parking garage.) Go up to the fifth floor. Look for the Burger King and Swensen’s. Walk straight back from Swensen’s in the New Food Hall. You will see Sunrise Tacos, Duke’s is just two doors down.
